Kree had been summoned as well; as a healer she would be needed on this journey. Standing there with her ears straining to hear the King, her one useless eye stared straight on. Kree hated the stares she got because of her eye; it wasn't her fault she had lost it to the infection. At least it was still in her head, no? The King mentioned something about a mage - she had only ever heard of them, never met on in real life. Her hand tightened over her walking stick and she sucked her breath in when she heard the skin give both his warrior and bodyguard away to this journey.
The King dismissed them, and an all out ruckus ensued shortly. 'The Savage' had threatened to kill them... mentioning something about slaughtering them. Kree kept her mouth shut; no one needed a healer to stick her nose where it didn't belong. Turning to follow the group, she inwardly wished she had her Master with her; would be guide her to the right paths and he would have helped her heal someone - if anyone - got hurt. The group began to bicker, and Kree sighed to herself then, continuing on her towards the stables. Riding wasn't her strong point but if the King was offering free horses for the journey...
She followed Sakwa into the stable and allowed her one sided sight to bring her towards a deep mahogany colored horse, a long thick black blaze running down its face with its large black eyes. It reminded Kree of her master's horse before it was sold to buy ingredients. She took its leading reins and brought it out from its stall. The male who she had followed - Sakwa - seemed to be thrust into a spot he hadn't wanted. "I suppose you're not at all happy with the outcome of the group?" She asked timidly, keeping her head low should he be appalled at her half lack of sight.

Just as Gnaw turned around to attack, Kasira held his hands up high and muttered some inaudible words. A forcefield appeared out of nowhere and Gnaw got pushed back. Smirking at the shocked expression on Gnaw.
"Ah, mind reading, such as dangerous yet useful tool. Obviously it's illegal to use it on actual humans but then again you're not pure human. Count yourself lucky, my friend or enemy if you prefer."
Laughing at Gnaw, Kasira took the door into the stable to join the others while leaving Gnaw there.

Sakwa glanced over slightly from where he stood still stroking his beloved horse. "I will not argue with the kings wisdom" was all he stated leading the proud stallion out rapidly tieing him up to start to tack him up working with quick efficiency. While he may have been only former as far as he was concerned, the horses breastplate still had the insignia of his old unit on a metal plaque to the front of it.
"We must make ready to leave as soon as possible. If we leave the children behind to bicker among themselves so be it, one or both will catch up," he added on his voice quiet still, not ready yet to raise for orders.
Quickly he secured the saddle fully in place and started fitting the bridle. He wanted to be away. He could feel the guards watching him and he knew there would be gossip. He didn't belong here, he wasn't the hero they all thought he was. He'd failed on the field. He'd lost his men. He'd do the same again this time. Already the group was breaking down and it was all his fault. Those were the troubled faults racing through his head.
Absently he itched at his scar on his face not even realising he was doing it as he finished tacking his war stallion up leaving him tied up. He'd moved off to check on the pack horse, ensure what he'd packed so far was secured. Then it was back to his stallions side sitting on a hay bale to check his weapons sharpness. Trying to distract himself from the thoughts in his mind. He had to be strong. He was lieing to himself. He couldn't do this. He'd lose more honour. His honour didn't matter. He'd lose the honour of those dead...
"SHUT UP!" he suddenly half shouted forcefully, more at the voices he kept hearing in his mind. He gave a quiet sigh as they finally quieted, looking around a bit then see who was staring at him. He was sure they'd all be staring at him.

Gnaw growled furiously as the forcefield bounced him off the man. Magic, that tool of cowards and wickedness. He would best it yet. Gnaw was up on his feet the moment he landed and was getting more unsettled as more noise came out of the idiot's mouth. To him that laugh was like listening to someone scrape sharp claws over a thin sheet of metal.
The Gnoll glared at the man as he walked out of the door and then slowly followed. Magic had to be handled with care. He had to find out how that shield worked and then just get past it.
Gnaw picked up the first few rather sizable rocks off the ground and then stared across the street. He wondered how loud and distracting it would be if he threw a rock at the nearest window and how interesting it would look breaking apart.
The Gnoll closed his eyes, followed his nose, emptied his head and then threw a rock in the direction of the mage. He figured he could avoid clear thoughts and make moves the mage would not be able to follow with his tricks. Gnaw threw a second rock as soon as he saw whatever the result of the first one was.
Magic was his sworn enemy if he ever had one and he was going to overcome it. Whether it was by brute strength alone or through deceit and strategy. He would see that man, that representation of the arrogance of magic, dealt away with.

Hešen walked casually over to the horse that was being prepared for him - a handsome bay coloured Mongolian stallion that was actually pretty short...its meant to be a short horse okay? Nothing wrong with a short horse, he's a lovely horse! He was assisting those who were getting it prepared and tacked up, his own horse's tack was decorated with the same insignia as on his breast...and now he thinks about it, maybe that isn't such a good idea, marching straight into these lands practically promoting who you are on your horse...
"Change it." Came his voice shortly, turning as they did so to look about. His gaze drifted between Sakwa - who was actually rather interesting, especially putting the insignia of a no longer existing unit on his horse - and Kree, the only female so far. He was ignoring their talk, or well he will, except for Sakwa's sort of freak out there, which Hešen can only assume was to himself, given the female's question not being one that would warrant such a reaction.
"General Sakwa sir?" Hešen eventually decided to question, "Is there an issue?" It was a completely innocent enough question, he really did hope that it would not result in a snappy response. His face was completely blank, emotionless, as it always is.

"I guess this is my horse, then?" Kasira asked while pointing a handsome, young mare. It was being saddled by some servants of the King. "We won't be expecting this kind of treatment when we are traveling, eh? I'm trying to not get used to it."
With some help from the servants, the horse eventually was ready. The horse was loaded with anything that was useful for the journey ahead. This included food, water and maps of the surrounding regions and land. Kasira had only a limited knowledge of how to ride a horse. This wasn't a major problem as Kasira's mare would only have to follow Sakwa's horse.
Kasira mounted the horse and tried to get a feel of its movements. It was simple enough. Hold the reins and you get access to the whole horse. "Ready to leave, sir!"

Being ignored stung, but she was used to it. Being a healer you were only important when someone was dying. Kree hoisted herself onto her horse, stroking its neck and making sure not to jar the healing things she had with her. Tucking her staff into the slit in the saddle, she grasped the reins and waited for the rest of the troupe to be ready. Kree sighed to herself. Of course, having too many men around ended in bloodshed at some point.
Maybe she would be helpful after all. Kree nudged her horse into a steady, slow gait, hoping her movement towards the door and onto the assignment would get them to follow, and hopefully get them to pay attention to the greater scale of things. Kree wouldn't speak unless spoken to, a trait she had developed quickly and early on in her life, studying under the healer.

Sakwa looked at Heshen quietly "its nothing," he said quietly "we should be preparing to depart, we cannot delay long," he raised his voice then pointing out two more horses to be tacked and used as pack horses at least until or if they got riders. He had them tied to the main pack horse, a servant holding the reins for that for him as he swiftly lead his own stallion out.
Trying to get him to stop, nostrils flared in excitement, would be impossible. Sakwa knew this. Swiftly he mounted using a hand on rein and saddle front to assist. He could feel his trusted steeds excitement from the way he was skittering sidewards and the ears pricked forward. Easily he sat to the motion calming his own mount before he trotted him to take the lead off the servant. "We mount and prepare to ride, Gnoll whatever your name is I've reallocated your horse as pack" he called to him. His horse was still snorting in excitement near on dancing on the spot.

Kasira, who was already mounted on his horse was waiting for the others. When Sakwa, was mounted to his horse, Kasira's horse hastened to join it. Kasira allowed it to and ended up being to the left of Sakwa.
Kasira looked around. Kree was on her horse but Hesen didn't seem ready yet, nor did the Gnoll. Desperately wanting to leave, Kasira called out, "Hurry up! Let's go!"

Hešen nodded to Sakwa's response, not believing it but he is hardly in a position to argue against it. He turned back to his own horse, seeing that it was now finished being tacked up as he had said. On his approach to his horse, he looked at the rest of them, and one eye irritatedly twitched.
"The nerve of some people..." he growled low, looking VERY displeased that two of them had even thought of mounting before the one of highest rank, one even leaving first! He had half a mind to approach the both of them and pull them both from their horses for such disrespect! Indeed, he would have done that had Sakwa not mounted and called to leave. Eyes narrowed at the two who had dared be so rude, he went over to his horse and mounted, sending his horse forward until he was positioned to Sakwa's right, two paces behind in respect, shaking his head to himself.
"Let me deal with them, right now..." he muttered, oh look, there is an emotion from him clearly showing for once! It is a moody look, even amongst the wilderness, order and protocol must be maintained, must be at all times!

Gnaw grumbled angrily while walking towards the stable, his unsatisfied blood lust bothering him. He was still looking forward to something more than murder and mayhem of course, and that was his own personal tools for murder and mayhem. Everything, absolutely everything, best be prepared for him.
The calls of that scarred human took him out of his thoughts and he glanced over at the mounted group. What a hurried bunch, already on their horses and prepared to go. Not a good sign considering the nature of some of them. A pack horse huh. He couldn't care less. The creatures were just extra rations to him. He moved better on his own. Gnaw was fine with not being known by any name and in fact was pleased to be known as the one who was not in fact a human. It was part of his job to not be known, especially by the authorities, and he preferred when nobody asked.
"Aye." The Gnoll called back lazily as he stomped into the stable. Where was it now... The Gnoll sighed relaxingly as he saw the pack animal, with all of his arms trying to fit on the back of it. He rolled his eyes when he noticed those stable idiots had actually managed to lift the Totem on the back of it too. He was certain the horse was carrying enough with the heavy armor and other weapons already.
Passing the servants and pushing them out of his way, Gnaw walked over to the horse. "You dumb***es." The Gnoll growled. "I can carry enough on my own back. Are you trying to punish that horse." He did not accept the idea that it was nice of them to let a horse carry the tremendous weight of his gear.
Gnaw grabbed the large modified tree-trunk of a weapon by the two dark metal handles on it and lifted it off the horse, which reacted rather positively to have that weight off its back. Gnaw set the weapon leaning against the wall and began scrummaging through the rest of his things. "If you're in such a hurry just go on, we'll catch up." He called out to the mounted party. He was in no hurry, counting and recounting all of his throwing axes. He firstly thought that his two handed sword was missing, but then he remembered the reason why he went to prison and how he came to break that one. The Gnoll smirked mischievously while thinking back. There also appeared to be a large set of heavy armor, could it be true they had actually manufactured Gnoll plate armor for him? He would find that out later. There was also one of his old ragged black cloaks present.
Gnaw would have instantly picked up all the weapons to carry on his person, but he needed something to attach them to. He had no string or belt on him. The beastly humanoid turned to the human servants, hiding away in the corner while waiting for the Gnoll to be off, and they lowered their fearful gazes. "I need your belts." He called to them. The servants looked back and then at each other, then back at Gnaw, appearing very confused. "Don't give me stupid looks just provide me with something to hang these axes off of." He growled angrily and threw one axe at the wall near them. The blade of the axe sunk into the wooden wall like a knife into the belly of a man. The servants responded instantly now, pulling off their belts and throwing them on the ground. Gnaw sighed, they could have at least handed them over. The servants and stable staff all appeared to be wearing pants too big, as now they all had to keep holding them up. Gnaw thought they might as well make something tighter that just stays on.
"Alright just f*** off will you." The Gnoll cursed at them while waving them away. They seemed more than happy to respect that wish. Gnaw picked up the three belts off the floor and pulled the axe out of the wall. He attached two belts together to make it one long piece. This he placed going down across his chest from his right shoulder to the left of his waist, and circled over his back. The single belt that was left now he attached to the middle of the long one, and it went down to the other side of his waist and on his back met with the middle of the longer piece again. Gnaw began placing his throwing axes on the belts now, as many on the front as he could for quickest access. He placed the long two-handed battle axe on his back and finally just grabbed the Totem to carry in hand.
The horse could hold onto the armor, just for now. When they passed out of the borders of Raegos he would think about suiting up. Gnaw slapped the backside of the leading pack horse, not too hard mind you, to make the animals go. He then began walking by their side. He would get to Kheras and kill whoever he had to, then come back. Whether any of these humans made it back, or even all the way to Kheras, did not matter to him.
